Everything was cut before breakfast.
We grow about forty kinds on a creek block outside Margaret River, and most of what we pick goes out the same day.
Orders close Thursday night.

Farm gate and pick-your-own October to April
Weather moves these by a fortnight either way, so ring if you need something on a particular date.
A cold room hides how old a flower is.
A supermarket bunch was cut a week or two ago, often overseas, and held cold the whole way. It opens once and drops.
Stems cut that morning keep going for a fortnight, they smell of something, and what is out this week is what you get.
The trade-off is that you take what the paddock is doing, not what a catalogue says is available.

Weekly bunches
Whatever is best that week, wrapped in paper. $35, or $30 on a standing order, collected at the gate.
-
Wedding and event flowers
Bouquets, table flowers, or buckets of stems you arrange yourself. Talk to us a season ahead and we will plant for your dates.
-
Pick-your-own Saturdays
October to April, 8am to 11am. Bring snips or borrow ours. $25 a jar, and the kids can come.
-
Foliage for florists
Banksia, eucalyptus and wattle, by the bunch or the box, all year round.
Saturday morning at the gate
Come down Hollow Creek Road between 8am and 11am, October to April. There is a sign at the gate and parking on the grass.
Take a bunch already made up, or pick your own. Ask what is worth having that morning, and what will not survive a hot car.
Pay by card or cash at the shed. Bring a bucket with a bit of water in it if you are taking a lot.
Six acres on Hollow Creek Road
Gravelly loam over clay, a creek along the bottom fence, and a frost hollow in one corner that gets planted last.
Three acres are under flowers and the creek end is left for the frogs. We put nothing on them, so some years the leaves have holes and they go out like that.
Jess came off a wholesale farm in the Perth hills and does not miss the trucks. Ari does the beds; Jess does the picking and the weddings.
I had a bunch every week through summer and not one of them was the same. The dahlias in February were ridiculous.
