Download the kit
Everything you need is in this one folder. Download it once, then follow the start guide in step 2.
Right-click the zip, choose Extract All, then open folders until you see a file called
AGENTS.md. That is the folder to open in your assistant. On a Mac, double-click the zip instead and the same folder appears beside it.It lands in your Downloads folder. Then move the unzipped folder somewhere permanent, such as Documents, and rename it after the business or the product it is for: lower case with hyphens, like
smith-plumbing.2
Open the start guide
Which assistant, the two free accounts, and the one message to paste. Five minutes to read, about half an hour to do. Start it a couple of days before you want to be live: one of the accounts can have a waiting period.

Choose a design, if you want one
Two designs are already inside the folder you just downloaded. The rest are here. You can also start from the website you already have, or from nothing at all, and this can wait until your assistant asks.

Open that folder in your assistant, paste this, and send it. You do not need to change anything in it.

You do not need GitHub to use your kit. Choose this only if you already use GitHub or your assistant recommends it. It gives you another way to copy the kit and receive updates later.

Your licence key and updates
Checking which version is current…
Your kit checks this itself. Every session it reads its own KIT-VERSION and compares it with this page, and tells you in one sentence if there is something newer. When there is, say update the kit and it brings itself up to date without touching anything of yours.
The key does not come into that. The kit checks the public version file without signing in to anything, and takes the update from your own copy of the repository or from a zip on this page. The key is your proof of purchase, it is in the email whose subject starts Your Directive, and you need it for neither the download nor the update.
Your key starts
We store only a one-way hash of the key, so we cannot read yours back to you. If the email is gone, issue a new one. The old key stops working the moment you do, so if anything is already set up with it, change that too.

Copy it somewhere safe now. This is the only time it is shown: close this page and it is gone, exactly as the old one is.
