Terms
The terms, in plain English.
These cover buying a kit from directivekits.com and using what you download. They are written to be read. Where a sentence has legal weight, it is still a plain sentence.
Directive Kits is a brand operated by Directive Systems Pty Ltd, ABN 13 702 309 082, ACN 702 309 082, Perth, Western Australia ("we", "us"). Last revised 28 September 2026.
1. What you are buying
A Directive kit is a folder of plain-text instructions and, depending on the kit, a library of designs or a set of recipes. When you buy one you get: the folder, through your customer library on this site; compatibility updates and any new standard designs released during the twelve months after your purchase; email support for those twelve months; and a licence key. Each kit is a separate purchase. Kits are available worldwide. The standard price shown here is A$149 a kit; Stripe Checkout shows the fixed price available for your currency, with applicable tax included. The founding offer is A$99 when available.
Complimentary beta access is granted only after review. It carries no charge or payment receipt.
The whole folder — the instructions, the checks, the designs or recipes it ships with, and the guides — is licensed to you under the Directive Kits Commercial Licence, not published openly. In short: you may use and change it for your own business, for as long as you like, with any host and any maintainer, and you may keep using it after support ends. You may not redistribute it, resell it, or sell it on as a template. The full licence ships inside the folder and is the binding text.
2. Delivery
Delivery is digital and immediate. After payment you sign in to your customer library with the email address you paid with, and download from there. Nothing is posted. If you pay with one email address and sign in with another, email us and we will connect them.
Kit purchases use Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe, through Sold through Link, LLC, is the merchant of record for those transactions and provides the payment receipt and applicable tax document. Our separate email confirms delivery and access to the kit; it is not a tax invoice.
3. What you may do with the designs
Each design you download from the library is licensed to you, one business or legal entity, under the Directive Kits Commercial Licence that ships inside the design folder. In short: you may use and change it, with people or AI, and publish the result as your own business's website, for as long as you like, on any host, with any maintainer, whether or not you ever renew anything. You may not redistribute the design files, sell or publish them as a template, or use them to build websites for other businesses or clients. The full licence is the binding text; this paragraph is a summary of it.
If you build websites for other people and want to use the library for that, email us about a studio licence.
4. What is yours and what is ours
Yours: your business content, your photographs and brand assets, your GitHub and Cloudflare accounts, your domain, and the finished website. You control all of it and we have no access to any of it.
Ours: the kit, the design library and the names and marks Directive, Directive Systems, Directive Kits, Website Kit, Video Kit and Social Kit, and the Directive logo. Buying a kit does not transfer these to you. You may say your site was built with the Website Kit.
5. What we promise, and what we do not
We promise that what you download is the kit as described on this site, that the library will be available to you for at least twelve months from purchase, and that we will answer support email within a couple of business days, best-effort.
We do not promise that your website will be live by a particular time, that a particular AI assistant will behave a particular way, or that GitHub, Cloudflare, Claude or Codex will keep their current terms, prices or interfaces. Those are other companies' products, on your own accounts, and they change. The kit is built to cope with change; it cannot prevent it.
Support is for the kit: installing it, getting into your library, and the kit doing something other than what its instructions say. It is not custom development, design work or copywriting. Support is a small team working a few hours a week.
6. Refunds
See the refund policy. In short: fourteen days, no questions, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer law where you live.
7. Your customer library account
Your account is tied to the email address you paid with. Keep it to yourself; downloads and your licence key are personal to your purchase. We may close an account that shares downloads or licence keys with people who have not bought the kit, after telling you why.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from a kit or this site is capped at the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost business, lost data on your own accounts, or the cost of other companies' services. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and a purchase is governed by the terms in force when it was made. If a change would materially reduce what you already bought, it does not apply to you.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia. If we have a dispute, we will try email first: support@directivekits.com.
